First Amendment Activities Policy.
I partnered with other CPTA members to draft a First Amendment Activities policy for the Detroit Police Department, designed to protect people exercising their First Amendment rights in lawful rallies, marches, protests, and union strikes from harassment, retaliation, and other harm by law enforcement. The policy is under consideration by the DPD and the Board of Police Commissioners. https://detroitcpta.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/DPD-First-Amendment-Policy_CPTA-1st-Draft-Submission_07.09.2024.pdf

Property Prioritized Over Human Life.

Once released, I provided the Board of Police Commissioners a review of the incident compared to police policies that should have been followed. https://docs.google.com/document/d/13CHgGUH5oxxo6XIbYiiji8EXICTFq9AB/edit?ouid=114497727501686490555&rtpof=true&sd=true&usp=sharing
